Pike and Seatrout gary_with_pike
Pike
on the fly is a year round obsession for Gary, and winter heralds the the start of his concentrated efforts, be it on one of the good assortment of still or running water venues
here in the Westcountry. Fly fishing for Pike has become very popular over the last few seasons with many anglers approaching Gary for instruction and gilding in this area of the sport.
Special care should be taken with Pike, although our top freshwater predator with a fearsome reputation and a large array of sharp teeth they are extremely delicate and need careful handling
to avoid them suffering any damage. Even if you are an experienced fly fisher a lesson on handling and caring for your catch, using the correct equipment and techniques would be beneficial.
Bookings taken on a one to one or group basis.

Seatrout
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced fisher, if you want to
go trout fishing here in the South West you really are spoilt for choice, from wild brownies
in quiet secluded meadowland streams, the boulder strewn streams of the high moors, the
chalk-stream like fishing on the River Otter or rainbow trout fishing from boat or
bank on one of the many beautiful reservoirs. For Gary there are few things better than a night's seatrout fishing, with the River Taw being his number one venue of choice .
Each year he teaches and accompanies a growing number of fishers who wish to develop
their skills and try this branch of the sport for the first time. It can be lonely and dangerous out alone on the river at night, so why take any risks when you can have a guide at your shoulder
who knows the water intimately and also which beats are likely to have fresh fish in them.
Bookings taken on a one to one basis or as a shared rod if you wish to bring a friend.
